So smart

Whenever anyone asks me how my little girl is, I get this school-girl, giddy feeling with a great big mom smile.  All I can reply is she's an absolute joy.  It seems every stage of her growing up has been my favorite and this is no different.  She smiles, blows kisses, talks, dances and has a little mind of her own.  She amazes me every day and I can't imagine my life without this little piece of joy.  We are blessed!

First Birthday!!!

It's so hard to believe my little baby is turning 1 tomorrow.  Where did the time go?  Alexis is turning into such a little person, with a little attitude and all!  Although I've loved every minute of her growing up this past year, I still wish I could go back to the beginning and start all over again.  I can only imagine I will always feel this way.  Below are pictures of some of her birthday presents.  She wasn't too interested in unwrapping and loved the presents for about a minute and then she was off to something else; but, Jason and I sure had fun shopping for her!  Miss you all!

Our Little Crawler

Yesterday Alexis started Army Crawling. She is still trying to figure things out, but its adorable to watch; especially the unique way she tries to get from here to there.  I guess we'll have to start baby proofing!

Always Changing

It's been awhile since I have posted.  Life seems so busy sometimes but I know many of you are looking for an update, so I figured I'd get some pictures up.  As many of you know, I've had a hard time dealing with the whole work/mom thing.  I suppose it never gets easy but Alexis has sure been testing me recently.  She'll act like she doesn't want to leave daycare and practically jumps into daddy's arms when he gets home.  The rational part of me is happy she is a daddy's girl and loves her daycare; my heart, however, breaks.  I hope this is just a phase and she shows me SOON that she knows I'm her mommy.  Maybe I'll just need to hear those words.  She, of course, is very good at saying dadadadadadadada.  Below are some pictures of what she's been up to.  She hasn't crawled yet but loves to stand.  Maybe she'll not crawl and go straight to walking.  We'll keep you posted, hopefully with videos!  Thanks for all of your support.  Love you!  Tam

A very good example of what we've been dealing with lately.  Either she's teething or she's not happy because she isn't getting her way.  Probably a little of both, I'm sure. 

Daddy spent a lot of time fixing up his childhood toy box.  He had to make sure everything was perfect and safe, I'm sure just as his Grandpa did, when he made it for Jason.  As you can see,  daddy did a great job and Alexis loves it!
